Pedrali took part in Orgatec 2022 – Cologne’s leading international office furniture trade show, which this year focused on new visions of work as a theme
Participating for their seventh time, the Italian company presented new collections that affirm and highlight the brand’s role in the workspace. The recent pandemic has led to the need to rethink workspaces with hybrid areas that are far from the static traditional office.
The new workspace is no longer just a work area, but instead a community space which fosters human relation and sharing. The aim is to create more welcoming environments characterised by higher quality and aesthetic care; spaces that can be quickly and easily reconfigured, with modular partitions between individual workstations and collaborative areas.

The Pedrali stand brought to life seven settings that reflected various contemporary workspaces. Each setting had an exterior view and a horizon whose shades of colour call to mind different times of day.
The new Polar armchair designed by Jorge Pensi Design Studio took centre stage, a task chair that ensures maximum customisation in terms of ergonomics with it’s simple and intuitive built-in mechanisms.

The new version of the executive armchair presented in 2018 by Claudio Bellini was used to recreate an executive office, alongside the table from the same collection. The Elinor Low Back (above) incorporates the different attitudes and approaches to working life looking to the future: it is dynamic and designed with people’s wellbeing in mind.
It’s visual styling is essential yet distinctive, and offers excellent performance thanks to its smart components which make it state-of-the-art yet inconspicuous.

The same setting also featured the Laja armchairs in a new version with a tablet, which gives life to a conference room by means of Ypsilon Connect. Designed by Jorge Pensi Design Studio, Ypsilon Connect is an elegant and functional free standing, sound absorbing partition panel.
One of the greatest strengths of the Ypsilon Partition lies in its extensive customisation possibilities; users can create new layouts and consequently manage their spaces more effectively. In collaborative and meeting areas, the panels can be aligned to each other to form a partition wall.

Designed as an informal workspace and located in the central lobby stands the Buddyhub Desk, the latest addition to the Buddy family recalling the collection’s friendly and welcoming design. It features a perimeter sound-absorbing panel that embraces a solid laminate top, creating an enclosed niche that ensures acoustic and visual privacy.
It can be used as a multifunctional or standing workstation, and can also be fitted with a cable management unit. A pop-up socket can be provided upon request. It can also be combined with other Buddyhub Desks or with lounge seats from the same collection to partition open spaces and create collaborative and meeting areas.

Hevea is a versatile furnishing element that brings nature into residential and contract settings. Hevea pays tribute to nature by referencing the Amazon rainforest, our planet’s green lung, and Brazil, the birthplace of the designer.
Hevea’s inspiration is drawn from the tree from which natural rubber is extracted, Hevea Brasiliensis: white latex oozes out of grooves in the tree’s bark, collected in containers hanging from the trunk, and subsequently processed and transformed.

Two other meeting rooms were recreated using the Toa table with the Toa Folding Screen paired with the Babila XL armchairs, and the Ikon table combined with the Héra armchairs.
The Toa table, designed by Robin Rizzini, combines a technical and industrial style with a decorative allure, giving life to a product that is both functional and evocative. To create different layouts and create multiple workstations, the Toa table features the sound-absorbing desk partition, also designed by Robin Rizzini.

The next setting was a lounge area featuring Jeff, the modular sofa system by Patrick Norguet. Jeff is designed as a set of miniature architectures, skilfully combined to create multiple scenarios. Its distinguishing feature is its harmony of volumes; squared shapes pair with delicate curves to soften and give balance to the whole structure.
Each module is made from a highly comfortable and non-deformable polyurethane foam, resting on a plywood platform. The result is an exceptionally soft, comfortable sofa in which organically-shaped seats subtly contrast with the more geometric and rigorous shapes of the backrests and armrests.

Reva Cocoon by Patrick Jouin is a system of lounge seats for outdoor use: sofas made up of linear and corner elements and chaise longues, with backrests in two different heights. The line stands out for its striking backrests in stainless steel woven with rope in weather-resistant polypropylene – for a truly natural form.
With its generous volumes and high backrests, Reva Cocoon creates a space within a space, offering protection and shelter from the outside world for those seeking a moment of relaxation and escape.
