Coinciding with its introduction to the US market, BAUX is launching a new range of bio colours within its Acoustic Pulp panel collection.
Stockholm-based acoustic experts BAUX have announced a new addition to their offering with the introduction of a selection of Bio-Colours to its existing Acoustic Pulp collection. Staying true to its sustainable ethos by deriving the colours through the integration of natural ingredients, the company is continuing to push boundaries in its development of bio-based acoustic solutions for commercial and hospitality interiors.
Inspired by local architecture and hues associated with the nation’s colourful history, this new palette includes shades such as Bio Blue Chalk, Bio Green Soil and Bio Yellow Terra. Merging a contemporary aesthetic with an organic tactility, this innovation enhances the brand’s desire to create future-focused solutions for a wider range of interior schemes across both residential and commercial settings. With a inherent focus on circularity through the natural materials and responsible production processes they use, this is the next development for the brand in its fight for a greener future.
The colours come as an addition to the neutral hues already developed by the brand. Applied as VOC, plastic, and petrochemical free paint, created from raw materials such as plant extracts, minerals and chalk, the colours add a matte finish to the wall panels bringing a modern edge to their aesthetic. “From the ochres and pinks of the 1920s, to the reds of National Romanticism, this line pays homage to Sweden’s colourful architectural history,” comments Fredrik Franzon, the CEO of BAUX, who have curated the colours alongside Ronnestam Creative Studio and Form Us with Love. “We envisioned a visually striking palette that fundamentally aligned with our sustainability goals and Bio-Colours offers architects and designers endless possibilities for creative expression in various settings from offices to educational institutions and healthcare facilities.”
This new colour range will be unveiled upon the brands arrival into the US market, as part of an installation which be on display at Boutique Design New York from November 12-13th. Located in Hem’s Soho showroom, Bio-Colours is an exciting venture in the brand’s pioneering of consciously-created acoustic materials. With over 30 years of expertise going into this new launch, it heralds a future where superior functionality, style and sustainability combine seamlessly, elevating workspace and hospitality design towards a more responsible and impressive future. And, with the built environment responsible for over 40% of annual global carbon emissions, innovation such as this is key in contributing to the urgent reduction of this figure.
