The Prickly Pair chairs, designed by Valentina Gonzalez Wohlers, combine the distinctive formal and aesthetic values behind Mexican and European figurative eccentricity resulting in a piece of furniture within which both cultures are identified. The chairs are a combination of a classical French oval chair and Sergio Leone’s spaghetti westerns, with cactus and nopales that, for Mexicans, represent meaningful sights of daily life and the most beloved icons in their culture. The Prickly Pair chairs are frivolous and humorous with shapes, materials, colours, textures and finishes that collide in playful harmony.
