The form-fitting seat shell of the 3000 Njord chair from Kusch+Co is made entirely of anthracite-coloured polyester felt and seduces with its eye-catching design and the soft touch of its material. The seat nestles on a chalice-shaped wooden frame, itself worked into an unusually slender silhouette. Weighing a mere 4.5kg, 3000 Njord is as light as a side chair and yet as comfortable as an armchair, helping it to win the much-coveted red dot design award for product design 2012, for its outstanding craftsmanship and design.
