300 Njord, 1010 Bina and the relaunch of design classic 2750 Sóley, a folding chair from designer Valdimar Hardarson in the 1980s, were all products on show at Kusch+Co’s new London showroom during Clerkenwell Design Week. Rather than merely a display, the showroom’s installation is conceived as a scenographic work of art. Embedded into the installation, which was premiered on the international stage of lifestyle and design in Milan, is the company’s 70-year history, visualised through numerous vintage product series.
